This camp is designed for children who will be entering Kindergarten in the fall. Typically, that is ages 4-6. If you're unsure if your child is ready, feel free to reach out!
Students will practice early kindergarten readiness skills, such as letter recognition, letter sounds, number sense, fine motor skills (writing, cutting, tracing), listening skills, and classroom routines like raising hands and following directions.
Each session is structured but fun, with a balance of learning, movement, and hands-on activities. We'll start with a short welcome routine to help students settle in and practice classroom expectations. Then, we'll move into a mix of whole-group instruction, small-group practice, and learning centers focused on skills like letters, sounds, numbers, and fine-motor practice. At the end, we'll have a quick circle wrap-up where we review what we learned and celebrate all our wins!
Sessions will be limited to 8 students. If there is enough interest, a second session may be opened to accomodate more students.
Just a water bottle and a positive attitude! All learning materials will be provided. You may also want to send them in comfortable clothes that can handle art and hands-on activities.

That's very common at this age! I have plenty of experience helping kids feel comfortable and confident in new environments, and I take time to gently support each child as they adjust. One of the perks of this being a small-group environment is that I can help ease the transition and they'll have practice for starting kindergarten, without as many other students.
Yes, children should be fully potty trained and able to use the restroom independently.
I use simple, positive expectations: Be safe, Be kind, and Be a good listener. Redirection and encouragement are used first, and parents will be notified immediately if ongoing concerns arise.
A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to reserve your child's spot. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the camp start date, all remaining payments will be refunded. The deposit will not be refunded, as it secures your child's enrollment and helps cover planning costs.
If the camp is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, full refunds will be issued, including deposits.
Parents are welcome to drop off and pick up. If you feel your child may need extra support, we can discuss options.
This camp is taught by a certified kindergarten teacher and specifically aligned with real kindergarten expectations - so children are practicing exactly what they'll see in school the first week.
If you're unsure, this camp is a great way to assess readiness! You'll get a clear picture of their strengths and areas to practice before school starts.
